Le Café - Exploring New Delights!

Hola everyone! If you are looking for some contemporary European Cuisine, come over to Le Café at the R-City Mall, in Chembur and Ghatkopar! I visited the one in Ghatkopar.

It was a small yet warm gathering of fellow foodies. We were greeted by the cheerful hosts of the evening and the owner Ashish Sajnani.

After settling down, I looked realised that the ambiance of the restaurant was really very admirable. Be it the lights to the seating arrangements as well as the open kitchen, it reflected the soul of Le Café. I decided instantly to bring my better half for a date here! :)

While chatting with everyone else, our Horsegram Lentil Soup arrived. It was definitely a healthy and yummy start to the evening!

The polite staff brought in our Salads next. I had the Watermelon Salad while my friend, Steffi Paul, tasted the Baby Potato and Smoked Sausage Salad.

Trust me when I say that the Watermelon Salad was the most refreshing dish I have ever had! After having traveled in the crowded trains of the Central Railway in Mumbai, this dish took away all my tiredness.

The Baby Potato and Smoked Sausage Salad was prepared beautifully and tasted perfect! A Must try for both these Salads!

Now it was time for the huge Wood Fire Pizza (Spicy Chicken). Oh the toppings were delicious. I liked the fact that the chicken was soft and juicy. If you are a vegetarian, you can order one with Paneer toppings. That too tasted great!

The next dishes I tried were the Shephard's Pie and the Prawn Risotto. By this time, we were almost full! yet we couldn't help but take spoonfuls of both of them.

After the main course, came the real delight - the Dessert Platter!

The moment the platter reached the table, you could only hear gasps and cameras clicking! Each one of them tasted as good as they looked!

The 1st thing I dug into was Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse. It simply melted in my mouth.

Next we all attacked the Blueberry Cheesecake, which was to die for!

Our next favourite was the Oreo Cookie Bash. With every bite I fell in love with it even more!

Now now now, the dinner was not over yet! Ashish brought out an irresistible surprise for all of us! The Chocolate Pizza with marshmallows! This is a new addition to their already awesome Menu.

I completely lost myself in that pizza. This was just a sample size. The actual pizza would be as huge as this:

At the end of the evening, Ashish presented each one of us with a cute but huge yellow umbrella from Le Café. I loved the over-all experience. Really appreciate the warm and polite service by the staff.

My Verdict:

Ambiance: Good seating arrangements. Good music. Good lights. Perfect for a Date and a Family Dinner.

Price: Rs. 1000 for Two (without alcohol), VAT & Service Charges extra.
